I believe in being the change I wish to see in the world. It is easier to fight against something than it is to create positive change. I believe in assuming personal responsibility. All the way.
There is a butterfly effect to how we think, speak, what we do and how we spend. Money is energy in motion. It is power, and therefore it bestows responsibility as well as opportunity to create.
A share of the profit goes to charities that I believe are creating a proactive positive change. Namely that of providing education. Knowledge is empowering. Education is freedom, inside out.
I selected few charities that I ether directly worked with or whose work I believe in. I keep my mind and heart open and I am open to suggestions.
Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever. —Mahatma Gandhi
About two years ago I accidentally (no such things) came across a very talented craftsman and obtained a simple ring. It was a single bullet sitting on a brass band, the Hermia ring.
When I first saw the bullets, I felt very drawn to them. To think that something so small, and arguably beautiful, can kill you in an instant. The bullet on my finger reminded me constantly that I could be dead any second. A symbol of life and death and the time in between - how it is spent. The illusion of immortality we all wrap ourselves in while we pay attention to relatively banal things is the greatest danger (and prison) for human spirit. It became my constant reminder to live for the very right now. Not within what if and when – just now. It is hard. I am still fighting the good fight. Every day.
Life begins at the end of our comfort zone. What we truly desire usually lies on the other side of fear. It is hard to walk in that direction, to go through the fire.

I wish to take an opportunity to say thank you so much to everyone who supported me on my journey for it's been a magical one so far. Thank you to those who enabled me to bring Goldfire to life.
Four years ago I moved to New York with a dream and about $1500 to my name, once I paid for acting school. At the time I was still very much struggling to move to New York full time, as well as other growing pains: money or lack thereof, work visa for the USA, love, and the complexities of being a (not privileged) female foreigner who moved into the city completely by herself, determined to make it work.
I did. Through the fire, made in NY.
